What Should Learners Expect From a Low Residency MFA

by | Feb 22, 2023 | Education

A Low Residency MFA is designed to accommodate the 21st-century student’s lifestyle. This three-year Master of Fine Arts program is a flexible plan of study open to artists, writers, educators, curators, and historians.

Participants spend three consecutive, six-week summer residencies at SAIC. While attending, students participate in studio and classroom-based courses and symposia. Spring and fall semesters are focused on remote home studio work and online classes supported by SAIC-based faculty to make the program as accessible as possible.
