The ZACHOR Holocaust Foundation in Las Vegas Helps Educate the World

by | Nov 5, 2020 | Education

The Holocaust is a hard thing to talk about, but it’s critically important that the world never forget it. Holocaust survivor Ben Lesser created the ZACHOR Holocaust Center and Foundation, and his life’s work is educating the world about what happened in the Holocaust.

A Dedication to Education

The word “zachor” means “remember” in Hebrew, and the ZACHOR Holocaust Foundation helps the world remember in many ways. To start with, Ben Lesser can be booked to tell his story in person to pretty much any audience. Furthermore, if you would like to get involved personally in the mission of educating others, the foundation offers ways for you to get involved as a speaker and ambassador.

One of the foundation’s greatest assets is its resources for teachers. A great deal of time and care has gone into creating lessons, assignments and more that allow the next generation to learn about what happened in the Holocaust. There are also suggestions on how to approach this sensitive topic. Because of Ben Lesser’s own extensive experience educating others, he has learned what helps teachers the most when it comes to this complex subject, and he puts it at their fingertips.

The past can’t be changed, but people alive today can at least commit themselves to remembering the atrocities of our world’s history. No matter who you are, the ZACHOR Holocaust Center and Foundation can help you learn more about this horrible period of time. Learn more at the foundation’s website at www.zachorfoundation.org.
